REALEASING STUCK EMOTIONS & THE CONNECTION TO WEIGHTLOSS

As humans, we often hold onto emotions and traumas that have impacted us deeply. These emotions can become stuck in our bodies, literally leading to physical manifestations such as weight gain. When we hold onto negative emotions, our endocrine system can become imbalanced, leading to an increase in cortisol levels and a decrease in metabolism which ultimately leads to weight gain and difficulty in losing weight.

However, we can release these stuck emotions and traumas through various practices such as yoga and meditation. In particular, hip opening poses in yoga can help release emotions that are stored in the body.

ASANAS :

One of the most common hip opening poses in yoga is Pigeon Pose. This pose stretches the hip flexors and helps release any tension or emotions stored in the hips. Another helpful pose is Bound Angle Pose, which helps open the hips and release tension in the groin area.

In addition; other yoga asanas as forward folds, such as Standing Forward Bend, can help release tension in the lower back and hamstrings, which are also common areas where we hold emotions. Gentle twists, such as Supine Twist, can help release tension in the spine and aid in digestion, those areas are often impacted by emotional stress.

BE GENTLE WITH YOURSELF :

It’s important to remember that releasing emotions and traumas is a process and may not happen overnight. Be patient with yourself and seek professional help if needed as you work towards releasing stuck emotions and achieving a healthier, happier you.
